OPPORTUNITY COST (Tapit), who brought $420,000 as a KEENOV weanling, makes his debut in a loaded Aqueduct maiden for Gainesway Stable and trainer Todd Pletcher Sunday. Out of GIII Rampart S. runner-up Beloveda (Ghostzapper), who is a half-sister to GSW Golden Mystery (Awesome Again), Opportunity Cost also counts MGSW Voyagers Quest (Dynaformer) under his third dam. He is opposed by fellow Pletcher charge Outplay (Bernardini), who is a half-brother to two stakes winners. The Repole Stable runner counts GI Monmouth Oaks heroine Dream Deal (Sharpen Up {GB}) as his second dam. Silver Shield (Medaglia d'Oro), a $425,000 KEESEP son of MGISW Dream Supreme (Seeking the Gold) and a half-brother to GISW Majestic Warrior (A.P. Indy), makes his second start after finishing sixth when hesitating at the break going a mile at Belmont Oct. 15. He races for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott, Bach Stables LLC and Henry Steinbrenner. Fellow second timer Into the Breach (Creative Cause), a half-brother to MGSW Cairo Prince (Pioneerof the Nile) and from the same family as GISW Outwork (Uncle Mo), fared better in his unveiling, when second sprinting at Big Sandy Oct. 29. The Kiaran McLaughlin trainee races for Fager Stable, while Strident (Street Cry {Ire}) also returns after an eighth-place finish behind Reckling (Dialed In) and Saturday's GII Remsen S. hero Mo Town (Uncle Mo) in a Spa six-furlong feature Aug. 27. The Phipps Stable homebred and Shug McGaughey charge is out of none other than champion juvenile filly Storm Flag Flying (Storm Cat), herself out of MGISW My Flag (Easy Goer). TJCIS PPs
